Dr. Ted Scott

Dr. Ted J. Scott graduated from Texas Chiropractic College with high honors June 13, 1978., receiving following awards: Cum Laude Award, Faculty Award for Excellence in Professionalism, Faculty Award for Proficiency in Clinical Procedures,   Staff Doctor Award for High Level of Excellence in Patient Care and Clinical Procedures,  Omega Psi Honor Award.  In 1975 Dr. Scott also earned an associate degree from San Jacinto College in Pasadena, Texas. 

Dr. Scott is also licensed to do acupuncture. He also took advanced specialty training in orthopedics and is a board eligible chiropractic orthopedist.

Dr. Scott is an expert in the care of the bones, nerves, muscles and joints that make up about 60% of your body. The Musculo-Skeletal System and its function is necessary for overall good health. Dr. Ted Scott has been trained in several different chiropractic techniques. Some techniques are so gentle they are safely used on two-week-old infants, while others are designed to treat large adults. Dr. Scott will work with each patient to find the best method of treatment to assure a pleasant experience and a return to optimal health as quickly as possible.

Dr. Scott has a high committment to eductation and providing the highest quality care for his patients, thus the following is a compressed list of his post graduate education during the last 25 years:

Over the past 30 years Dr. Scott has obtained additional training in Chiropractic Orthopedics, Extremity Examination and Treatment, Lumbar Disc Syndrome,  Whiplash and Spinal Trauma, Sports Injuries,  Nutrition, Irritable Bowel Syndrome,  Motion Palpation, Total Body Modification, Contact Reflex Analysis, Sacro-Occipital Technique,  Applied Kinesiology, Bio-Kinetics, Percussion, Basic Acupuncture, Functional Medicine, Advanced Acupuncture, Brimhall Technique, Chiropractic for Pediatrics (children) etc.

Acupuncture (Basic and Advanced) has become one of Dr. Scott's methods of treatment during his post graduate education and training.  He has learned that acupuncture is a procedure that promotes the body to heal itself with non-intrusive stimulation.

Dr. Scott is a member of the Utah Chiropractic Physicians Association, and has received several  awards of merit for his service to the profession.  He served ten plus years as chairman of the State of Utah Professional Standards Committee, and has served for 9 years in the governor appointed position as a member of the Utah Chiropractic Board of Examiners with 2 ½ years as Chairman. Dr. Ted Scott was elected  District IV Director for the NBCE - National Board of Chiropractic Examiners in May 2005 in Montreal, Canada.  Nationwide Dr. Ted Scott is known as ‘the reformer and advocate for transparency in leadership’.

Being active in the community, Dr. Scott has been an instructor at DATC, health speaker at Rotary and Chamber, numerous women’s groups, graduation classes, and is available to speak for your group.

Dr. Scott is devoted to his wife of more than 40 years, his four children, and his 15 grandchildren.  After learning about the benefits of chiropractic Dr. Scott’s children never needed medical care or suffered the effects of antibiotics etc., because they have all received regular life long chiropractic care. All the grand-children have  been treated since birth - one was able to sit up and walk only because of intensive chiropractic treatment from “grandpa”.
